Books written by John Lennon.

In His Own Write by John Lennon (1964). The book consists of short stories and line drawings, often surreal and always nonsensical. Some songs from the Beatles catalog that most resemble his unique prose writing style were, 'I Am The Walrus' and 'Hey Bulldog'. In the poem 'Sad Michael', John Lennon writes 'He'd had a hard day's night that day, for Michael was a Cocky Watchtower.'

A Spaniard in the Works by John Lennon (1965). The name refers to a pun on the term 'A spanner in the works' and was similar to the style of his previous book.

Skywriting by Word of Mouth and other writings, including 'The Ballad of John and Yoko' by John Lennon. This impressive collection of writings and drawings was written by John Lennon when Yoko Ono was pregnant with Sean Lennon.
